The Field Service Engineer will be responsible to install , troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment at customer locations. In addition, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, order and replace parts as needed. Must be able to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs and continuously work to maintain and develop a lasting professional relationship providing courteous timely service and response.
Experience combined with a BS Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to graciously accept criticism from dissatisfied customers and work to resolve issues to a positive conclusion
Working knowledge in the refrigeration, electronics, thermal measurements, RS-232/IEEE communications and mechanical engineering strongly preferred.
Troubleshoots defective or malfunctioning products; conduct tests to assist in the identification of problems and possible solutions, repair or replace systems, components or parts as necessary.
Visit customer locations to conduct on site analyses, modification or repair. Prepare time and cost estimates for presentation to customers to obtain repair authorization. Review and record causes of equipment failures, identify problems in designs or components; recommend solutions as appropriate.
Prepares reports of time and costs for each repair or modification to provide for proper customer billing; maintains or participates in the maintenance of a variety of assigned records, logs, and reports.
EPA 608 Certification preferred
Experience with HUBSpot is preferred
Up to 50% travel within the US is expected
US Citizenship Required for this position
The candidate is expected to be an experienced and highly motivated individual with strong technical skills. The candidate must exhibit good teamwork and communication skills that allow efficient interactions between departmental team peers, as well as cross-functional associates.
