inTEST Thermal Solutions (iTS) specializes in the design and manufacture of precision thermal test and process cooling solutions. Our products include test chambers, process chillers, cold plates, semiconductor test tools, and our unique temperature forcing systems, all backed by the most comprehensive thermal expertise in the industry. We engineer temperature solutions from -185 to +500°C and anywhere in between with both cryogenics and traditional refrigeration technologies.

We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team in Mansfield, MA to take our Engineering initiatives to the next level. This position will focus on a wide variety of both continuation engineering and new product development work.The Refrigeration Engineer will be a hybrid position in Mansfield, MA.

Product Development

Develop industry leading, innovative new products and product improvements

Develop new and modified refrigeration systems, single stage and cascade from concept through production.

Develop and perform system analyses, heat gain and thermodynamic studies.

Ensure that products meet all requirements: performance specifications, standards, etc.

Ensure designs meet the required compliance and regulatory standards as required

Prototype Construction and Testing

Hands-on building of refrigeration systems, including assembly of components, piping, etc.

Work with and direct production personnel on construction of prototype assemblies and production builds

Define test requirements, analyze results, and evaluate performance of tested equipment

Product Support

Assist in the direction and training of manufacturing personnel of new and modified products and assist production with assembly methods and procedures

Operation of data acquisition systems, test tools and the like used for test and evaluation

Project Management

Plan, direct, coordinate and lead all aspects of assigned projects, from concept through production, for timely completion.

Work with manufacturing personnel, to ensure quality and conformance to documentation and specifications.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years work experience; hydraulic product development is a plus.
Solid Works
Ability to use FEA as applied to heat transfer a plus

Incumbent must have sound knowledge of refrigeration principles, basic electrical theory, charging and evacuation techniques, brazing techniques, mechanical and assembly processes.

Proficient in the understanding of mechanical assembly, leak testing and test equipment. Proficient in the use of schematics, blueprints and piping diagrams.

MUST have 608 certification in refrigeration recovery.

Education Requirements
Minimum BSME
